Wow, I can’t believe we’re just a couple of weeks away for the last half of 2010! Of course with the second half of the year coming upon us, that means that 4th of July is just around the corner!
Ah, the 4th of July holiday….the Day off work, BBQs, friends, family, AND the big celebration in Waco – “4th on the Brazos Celebration”. If you’re planning on being in the Waco area for 4th of July, here’s a rundown on the events planned:
4th on the Brazos Celebration
- The festivities start up at 6 pm at Indian Spring park in downtown Waco. About 10,000 people attend each year.
- Live music – Elvis impersonator Donny Edwards will perform, local favorite Deryl Dodd will kick off the party, also the Waco Community Band will perform
- Patriotic ceremony with National Anthem
- Family fun with inflatables for the kids, free arts and crafts, and more
- Food court
- Fireworks start at about 9:45 pm.
Downtown streets will close to traffic at about 7 pm. Coolers, blankets, and chairs will be allowed. Tents, pets, glass bottles, grills, and fireworks are not allowed.
